Cllr Ruth McEwan, lead member for education and public health said: “I know from speaking personally to residents across Reading accessing support for mental health and wellbeing is a huge concern.
“I hear many residents tell us they have spent long periods waiting for mental health support or think they need to pay privately for support. But we want to remind Reading residents that Compass Recovery College is free for all adults over the age of 18 and there is availability for many of their courses now. You can get the help and support you need.”
Compass Recovery College is a mental health and wellbeing organisation which develops and delivers mental health and wellbeing support for residents in Reading. Many of their workshops are available online and there is a weekly in-person drop in with the team where people can find out more about the college and the support available.
