New Directions Fashion Upcycle PR

Upcycled Fashion Events to be Held as Part of Reading Climate Festival

Residents, who have an interest in sustainable fashion, are being invited to take part in a borough wide event to design and showcase their own piece of sustainable fashion.

This amazing opportunity, delivered in partnership with John Lewis and the Reading Climate Festival, provides Reading residents with free kits and guidance to create their individual pieces of upcycled fashion. For those who want guided learning, bespoke workshops are available for just £15. Workshops are available in the day or evening.

The final pieces of upcycled fashion, created individually or through the group workshops have a chance of being showcased in the Concert Hall, Town Hall where the world-famous Gaia globe will be installed as part of the Climate Festival.

John Lewis in Reading are donating clothes and materials that can be upcycled, which will form part of the free kit and guidance available for all those who want to participate.
