Here comes summer with live music in The Forbury
- Five free band concerts will take place in the Forbury Gardens Band Stand over the Summer
- Highlights will include Reading Community Gospel Choir, Take Note, Waltham St. Lawrence Silver Band, and more
FIVE brilliant, local bands will be providing the sounds of summer to visitors to Forbury Gardens over the next two months.
Forbury Band Concert Season will provide free entertainment on lazy sunny afternoons through to 21 August.
The free concerts by a variety of local performers take place between 3 and 4:30pm on selected Sundays throughout the summer months. Highlights will include Reading Community Gospel Choir, Take Note, Waltham St. Lawrence Silver Band and more. Blankets and picnics are very welcome.
Cllr Adele Barnett-Ward, Lead Councillor for Leisure and Culture said:
"The Forbury Band Concert season is always a highlight of summer in Reading: an opportunity to step away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre and relax in our beautiful Victorian gardens listening to live music."

The line-up will be:
- 24 July - Reading Community Gospel Choir
- 31 July - Take Note
- 7 August - Age UK Community Choir
- 14 August - Woodley Concert Band
- 21 August - Waltham St. Lawrence Silver Band
