Give Your Views on SEND Information Service
A SURVEY has been launched to find out families’ views of Reading’s information service for children and young people who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Reading’s SEND Local Offer provides details about services, support and activities available for children and young people with SEND, and their families. The Council runs an annual survey in order to find out if there are any ways the service can be improved. Respondents will be asked to answer a few straightforward questions about the quality of information they have accessed using the SEND Local Offer, how easy it was to find, what they liked about the service and ways that it could be improved.Cllr Ashley Pearce, Lead Councillor for Education, said:
“The Reading SEND Local Offer is part of the Family Information Service and gives free impartial information, advice and guidance for 0 – 25-year-olds who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). “It is a much valued resource for families and we want to hear feedback from users so we can see where any improvements can be made. “It will only take a few minutes to complete the survey and the responses will help us to continue meeting the needs of children and young people with SEND in the future.” The survey can be found at www.reading.gov.uk/SENDlocaloffersurvey and the deadline for responses is 10th December.
